BDM have acquired, through clients of the firm, an Innovation Investment Fund. This is a private commercial fund, but it may appeal to entrepreneurs of whatever size or type who have a good business idea, but are having difficulty raising capital to fund their enterprise. The features are: The fund will decide what to invest and will invest on the basis of a future commercial return on the investment. The fund managers may also provide commercial advice.
The funds provided are not grants or assistance based, they are strictly private investments with a view to profit.
The applicants are not exposed to incurring initial costs as part of this process.
Initially an application (in writing only) requires to be made by post or email.

- The application can be as brief as possible, but must contain:
a. C.V. of Promoter/Promoters.
b. Sufficient detail to enable business idea to be objectively assessed.
- Each application will be assessed by BDM, who may request additional information. All information received from applicants will be treated in strictest confidence
- The next stage of the process will involve the invitation of selected applicants to attend at interview or a series of interviews.
- Finally, by mutual agreement, a successful applicant may agree to accept funds in return for agreeing to provide agreed equity or agreed or agreed return on investment.
- This is not a competition and many applicants may avail of funding or none at all may progress to funding.
